MONTHLY TOY SOLDIER AUCTION (03/17/06)
Here is a chance to get some toy soldiers at the price you want to pay. That's right, you get them at your price if you are the top bidder. There is no cost to you (unless, of course, you are a winner), except for the self-addressed, stamped envelope. Each month you will receive a color photo of the soldiers up for bid, 2 bid/description sheets (keep one, and one you return with your bids on it) and a result sheet of thre last auction. I usually offer between 40 - 60 individual or small groups of figures, mostly diemestore, but about all other makers have been auctioned over the years.
Britains set #2044, "U.S.AIR CORPS 1949 uniform with officer". This will be a set of one officer and seven enlisted airmen. Do not want one still in the box - they will be on parade somewhere!
Long time collector is selling off over 65 years of collecting, including several thousand Britains (soldiers and civilians, over 300 boxed sets, 100 boxes, 40 sets of MIB). Other figures by over 45 makers, including Asset,
Soldiers of the Queen, Timpo, Toy Army Workshop, and Warren. Most are boxed. Several dozen military miniature kits in original packing, including Airfix, Imrie-Risley, Monogram, Historex, Stadden, SAE-Erickson and Valiant. Aslo, a gorgeous plywood castle with 4 turrets, drawbridge & porcullis, rear gate, 2-story keep with a chandelier in the upper room. Base is 35.5" x 18", height 15" from base to banners.
